C.E.M Tenis L'Hospitalet (Complete Club Review)

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

If you’ve ever wondered whether the vibrant C.E.M Tenis L'Hospitalet is for you and your family, you’re at the right place to find it out.

I’ve been visiting tennis clubs of all kinds in the last 20 years and spent a great day in Barcelona’s C.E.M Tenis Hospitalet.

Let’s dive right into it in this Complete Club Review!

A friendly, classic tennis club for all ages

Situated in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, the Club is in a non-residential area between highways B-10 and C-31. As you know, when it comes to court/membership fees you often pay for the location. With C.E.M you’re lucky: as the Club is based outside of central Barcelona, you get really great value for your money.

180-degree view over the tennis courts

There are 14 tennis and 4 padel courts, welcoming both members and non-members all around the year.

I played my match at C.E.M Tenis L'Hospitalet from 10:00 AM on a Saturday morning. The Club was around 70% full with competitive, amateur players, and children. After my game, I walked up to the terrace of the café and was amazed by the 180-degree view over the 18 courts of the Club.

Besides playing tennis or padel, you have plenty of other options to spend an active day in the Club: you can use the well-equipped gym, enjoy the swimming pool during the summer or simply have lunch on the sunny terrace.

Games at different levels and great hospitality

Sipping my morning coffee I took the chance to watch different matches: I could see various professionals training, an amateur (probably a league) match, adult clinics, and a children’s group class as well. C.E.M Tenis L'Hospitalet is also home to the well-known Full Experience Academy. While analyzing my morning game, more and more people joined the terrace kickstarting their weekend.

Not a member? You can still book a court

I felt the Club was a very vibrant, dynamic community where traditions meet enthusiasm for racket sports: tennis and padel. The staff was really friendly: it was obvious that they pay attention to the club members and their families.

Making my way down the stairs, I wondered how much history this classical-style clubhouse might hold. On the opposite side of the reception, a big board appeared advertising all the different training possibilities and internal tournaments for members.

The clubhouse with classic interior

Indeed, Tenis L'Hospitalet is a great place to recharge after a busy day or week.
